PARTNERS

The Climate Finance Knowledge Hub is conceived as a one-stop shop that is expected to equip financial institutions (FIs) and climate-smart MSMEs with technical know-how, training and certifications to ease access to finance for climate-smart innovation.

The development of the hub was sponsored by GIZ’s Regional Programme Support to Reform Partnership in Ghana and supported by the Financial System Development under PSED . To support Ghana on its ambitious reform path, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) concluded a reform and investment partnership with Ghana at the end of 2017. The focus of the German-Ghanaian Reform and Investment Partnership is on the following areas:

  • Financial Recovery of the Energy Sector and diversification of renewable energies
  • Good Governance to increase domestic resource mobilization, create strong institutions and better public financial management
  • Promotion of the employment and measure to improve the investment climate for companies.

Collaborations and partnerships are critical towards the sustainability of the hub. From the development of the concept note to date the following partners have been instrumental in playing significate roles to ensuring the realization of the hub.
